The 22-year old has shown his tremendous talent over the last few seasons as he is blooming to become a world’s great. Barcelona has confirmed that Ousmane Dembele will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery.
The winger has been recovering from a hamstring injury, but when he thought things were getting better, he then suffered another setback in training last week.
Scans confirmed that he had ruptured the tendon in his proximal in his right thigh and he was send to Finland for his operation. It’s been noted that Dembele will miss the rest of the season and most likely will not participate this summer in the Euro 2020 with France.
With now both Dembele and Suarez out for the rest of the season. Barcelona will be allowed to make an emergency signing outside of the transfer window due to fitness problems. Spanish FA (RFEF) rules say a team can sign a player from another Spanish side if they have a player ruled out for five months or more.
It appears to be that Barcelona will be facing a challenge on who the replacement can be. Would any of the La Liga teams be willing to sell one of their players or do you think they will let Barcelona struggle for the rest of the season? Should any of the teams reject any of Barca’s offers, it could be an interesting tactic and they can leave them without a striker for the rest of the season.
