Playing soccer right now can be a challenge when youth sports isn’t happening, colleges won’t have their seasons, and facilities are closed in most parts of the country. Not to mention that many states are not allowing group activity. So the question is, how can someone play soccer since it’s a team sport? Below we will 3 suggestions on how you can still play even if it’s a small group.

Soccer tennis

This is by far one of the most popular forms of soccer, especially in the United States. We all have played it at some point in our lives. The name itself is exactly what it says it is. It’s Tennis, but with a soccer ball. The traditional rule is that you are allowed on bounce (if needed) before passing the ball back over the net.

To make it more interesting, add in points, for example, first player to 11 points if it’s singles and if it’s double then you can play to 21 points. With doubles you can even add in the one bounce rule, while also allowing three passes in the air (footvolley or volleyball style) before passing the ball over the net. Obviously, this would be more advance, but who doesn’t like a challenge these days?

Footvolley

Progressing forward from soccer tennis, Footvolley is an up and coming sport all around the world. Originated on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The best way to describe this sport is that it’s Volleyball without your hands. Sounds crazy right? Well, it is! Imagine being on the Volleyball court and you have to pass the ball over the net with your foot just to start the game? Better yet, imagine when someone is passing the ball over the net and you have to figure out a way to keep the ball in the air. Keep in mind, you have to keep the ball up in the air on one touch so your partner can get his or her’s touch on the ball as well. Sound intimidating? Don’t worry, it’s actually a sport that most amateurs can learn quite quickly.

3v3 soccer

While many parks, fields, and facilities are still closed and who knows when they will open back up. However, as always, there are alternatives to every situation. First thing is first; find a location, you may wonder where you can play at. Basketball courts, tennis courts, parking lots, or even a small patch of grass will get the job done. Have you heard of the slogan “all you need is a ball”?

What makes this sport so beautiful is that you can play anywhere at any time as long as you have a ball. If you don’t have goals then you can use bags, bottles, shirts, or anything to make a goal, the options are endless

Have you been thinking about playing, but want to keep your small group during these tough times? Or maybe you do not have the time to start a group, but you are looking for some people to play with. Jump on to ENDALGO today and connect with the soccer community.
